Learning abt juggling in uni......

Yes......not about juggling between school work, but juggling literally......with three BALLS!

My wife has been learning how to juggle balls in one of her modules in university. Yes, now undergraduates have to learn how to juggle balls. It is a module which is supposed to help her improve the way she studies.

The first time my wife told me about what she do in this module, I bursted out laughing. Frankly, I think a module which teach her how to juggle between work and studies would be more useful. But juggling balls? Probably someone at the uni wants to prepare undergraduates for another career, just in case they dun make it academically?

Unfortunately, there are a lot of wayang (malay word "for show") in our lives. Learning how to juggle balls is a must, if my wife wants to graduate from uni. Whether she like it or not, she must go through the motion, read and write a few reports about juggling balls.

However, spirtually we should never become wayang. Sometimes, going to church, praying etc has become such a formality/chore that one eventually finds no meaning in it. The saying that "Christianity is not a religion; it is a relationship" has become too much of a cliche that we no longer believe in what we preach.

As young adults, we have many things in life to juggle, between work, family, studies etc. We struggle to find time to pray, to connect to God. We are occupied with the things of this world, fearful that we will be overtaken by others we will lose focus.

Thankfully, I have a God who is constantly reminding me of his grace, what he has done for me by sending his son to this world, and that he is still working in my life, until I go home or Christ come again for me. Though God don't speak to me in a voice booming down from heaven, he speaks to me in a most intimate way, through his word or prompting by the Holy Spirit. Even though I succumb to worldly desires, God will never allow me to be snatch out from his hand, and he is the only one who can keep me holy and free from sins.
Let us be mindful that God is always guiding us in our lives. Let us be thankful, for every minute is by his grace, and by his grace we will prevail to the end......
