Just watched......
a documentary about the 911 New York Twin Towers attack. One of the person interviewed said that shortly after the attack he was injured and buried under rubble in his office. He cried for help and miraculously, someone came to his rescue after hearing his cries. Together with his rescuer, they managed to make their way to safety.
When interviewed, the rescuer said he was making his way down the burning building with his colleagues when he was stopped by a lady, who said there were too much flame and smoke down there, that they should go back to higher floor. The lady then led the rescuer's colleagues away but the rescuer did not follow, as he heard a man's cry for help behind a door near the stairs they were escaping down.
Both of them actually saved each other's lives, as the ones who went away with the lady died that day. God had mercy on them that day, as the rescuer was "directed" to find the injured man. Both saved each other because, without the injured man's cries, the rescuer would have gone back to higher floor with his colleagues. Think it is not too much to say that God pre-ordained them to survive that fateful day.
I feel that sometimes in our life this happen too, as God send others to bring us to safety.
Also learned from this show that religious extremism is deadly and meaningless. Can really feel for the families whose loved ones perished that day.
Every murder is actually a homicide against God. Only God can have the authority to punish, not humans. These religious extremists would have to face God's wrath on judgement day (for killing in his name).
